From The Diamond Year-end Extravaganza - The Best of 2023

Updated: Jan 23

We are taking out 2023 and preparing for a brand new year of From The Diamond with a super-sized finale.

Grant McAuley reacts to the Atlanta Braves' latest trade of the winter, a deal that brings over left-hander Chris Sale in exchange for Vaughn Grissom. You'll hear how Sale fits into the club's plans as well as Alex Anthopoulos' comments on the deal.

With that trade covered, then it's time to look back at some of the biggest stories and guests on From The Diamond from the 2023 season. You'll hear from a great lineup of guests as we reflect on the best stories and moments from the year in Braves baseball. We're covering it all, from new uniforms to new rules, from an MVP and a record number of All-Stars to a retired number and much more.

Tom Glavine, John Smoltz and Jeff Francoeur discussed the Bally Sports players' only broadcast. Dale Murphy share his All-Star memories and the all-around greatness of Ronald Acuña Jr. Ron Gant recounts the night in 1993 when Atlanta Fulton County Stadium caught fire and Fred McGriff's long-awaited induction in the Hall of Fame. Chip Caray opened up about his move to the St. Louis broadcast booth while new Braves voice Brandon Gaudin reflected on his first season in the TV booth for Atlanta. Braves Creative Director Insung Kim tells the story of creating the City Connect uniforms.

Travis d'Arnaud, Matt Olson, Austin Riley and Tyler Matzek shared their thoughts on the winning culture the Braves have created in recent years. And manager Brian Snitker discussed the team's offseason at the Winter Meetings.

All of that comes your way on this year-end edition of the show! Be sure to subscribe to From The Diamond wherever you get your podcasts. Please leave a rating and a review to help the show grow and find more information at FromTheDiamond.com.
